MACY'S:

The annual Childress MACY Awards are a celebration of the talent, hard work, dedication, energy and boundless enthusiasm of everyone who has particpated in musical theater productions in Orange County, CA.

Forty years ago in Los Angeles, John and Lee Childress started the MACY Awards (Music and Arts Commendation for Youth) and have since moved into Orange County.  MACY has judges roughly 30 musicals annually and to date, given awards to over 17,000 High School performers. At 93 years old, Lee Childress attends most performances and sits at the head of the board.
